Odyssey Mega
ArmafEDP
“The budget bottle that made a designer fragrance feel optional.”
Odyssey Mega is the closest fresh-citrus clone we've put through a blind test. The orange-bergamot-ginger opening tracks YSL Y EDP almost identically. Where it differs is in the drydown — Mega leans slightly more synthetic in the cedar-musk base, and the tonka is a touch sweeter. But we're talking about differences you'd only catch in a side-by-side comparison with both on your wrists.
The performance is where Mega actually beats some batches of the original. Seven to eight hours with legitimate projection for the first half. At $22–$28 on Amazon, you could buy five bottles for the price of one YSL Y and still have money left for lunch. If Y EDP is your daily office scent, there is genuinely no reason to keep paying full price.
