The Last Spritz exists because every other fragrance recommendation site is ugly, cluttered with ads, and feels like it's trying to extract value from you rather than provide it.
We're an independent editorial site — no brand sponsorships, no paid placements, no "top 10" lists where every entry is whichever brand offered the highest commission. Just ranked picks with a point of view, built on data and laid out like someone cared.
How we pick
Yes, this site is written with AI. That's the whole point. No one person can wear thousands of fragrances through every season, but a database can hold what thousands of wearers report about them, and AI can turn that into a straight answer faster than you can open a fifth Reddit tab.
Here's what goes into every pick:
- Wearer data. Community ratings from thousands of people on how long each fragrance lasts, how far it projects, which seasons and times of day it suits, and how often it gets complimented — plus the notes and accords behind it. That lives in our database of 2,800+ fragrances, and the database is the source of truth for every claim on the page.
- Live prices. Prices come from Amazon and FragranceNet listings and refresh on a schedule, so the number on the page tracks the number at checkout.
- AI does the writing. Our two house voices, Marcus Vale for men's and Simone Laurent for women's, are AI. They write the guides and reviews from the data, and they narrate our YouTube Shorts.
- An editor makes the calls. A human editor decides what makes each list, in what order, and what gets cut, then edits every page. The editor has worn a lot of these bottles over the years, not all of them. Where personal experience runs out, the wearer data carries the verdict.
What you won't find here: claims that every bottle went through a lab, a sniff panel, or a week on somebody's wrist. When a page says a fragrance lasts all day or pulls compliments, it's because thousands of people who own it say so.
Who's behind it
One anonymous editor, by choice. The picks should stand on the data and the argument, not on a face. The author on every page is The Last Spritz itself.
