Jorge di Profondo
Maison AlhambraEDP
“Bergamot and green mandarin over cypress, mastic, and mineral notes — Acqua di Gio Profondo, cloned close for around twenty bucks.”
Profondo is the darker, rockier Acqua di Gio — the 2020 flanker that took the marine idea somewhere moodier — and Jorge di Profondo clones it about as closely as budget gets. Bergamot and green mandarin open it, cypress and mastic build the wet-stone heart, and it dries down on mineral musk and patchouli. Blind, the resemblance is startling.
The dry-down is a touch less refined than the Armani and projection pulls close after the first hour, but at $15–$35 that's academic. If Profondo is the Acqua di Gio you actually want, this is the one to buy. See the full breakdown.
