Widely regarded as one of the defining dark vetiver fragrances, Lalique's 2006 Encre Noire is a four-note composition by Nathalie Lorson: cypress over vetiver, finished with cashmere wood and musk. Woody and aromatic accords lead, with an earthy, rooty facet from the vetiver. The line has since expanded with Encre Noire Sport (2013) and Encre Noire À L'Extrême (2015).
